Fruits and Vegetables for Health, a fourth through sixth grade unit, introduces students to the production, distribution, and nutritional value of California fresh produce. Students will study California geography, enhance their language arts skills as they write letters to a commodity board to acquire information about a specific fruit or vegetable, and will read technical information obtained during research.
