- If possible, visit a working farm or demonstration garden in your area. Talk to the farmer/gardener about how food grows and where it goes from the farm. Track food from its origin to the table. Have students draw a pictorial map of the transit from farm to table.
- Survey class eating habits in the area of your choice--snack habits, favorite fruits, etc. Look for patterns. Discuss relation to overall health.
