Claremont’s school garden program is closely linked with the science program, and the Garden Coordinator, Aysha works closely with the science teachers. She studies the students’ textbooks as well as California standards, and synchronizes her garden activities and lessons to match topics. Aysha admits that there is some repetition involved because of the disjoint between garden cycles and academic timelines. But repetition isn’t such a bad thing in her view.
