Question Post by Renee Ray

I have a question. I have been told at a new school I am volunteering at that the school principal will not let the kids eat or take home the apples grown on the school site. Says if anyone gets sick they are liable. I am sure they are grown organically. I have researched and assume I need to call the district to find out. The weird thing is, they have planted fruit trees and grow veggies, and the kids eat the veggies. If they support a school garden, they should be able to eat it too! Does not make sense. I assume maybe we need to educate the principal so she knows this is OK? Any input would be appreciated, including the legalities around this problem. THANK YOU!

Question Post by Rivka Mason

Does anyone have a great hand water pump like the old fashion ones that they have had success with at an elementary school? If so where did you get it and maybe the link if possible. Thanks in advance. Rivka
