Out on the Farm

This spring 17 second grade classes from within the Davis Joint Unified School District participated in a Davis Farm to School Connection Farm Visit. Classes visited one of four local organic farms: Good Humus Produce in Capay, Full Circle Farm in Davis, Pacific Star Gardens in Woodland, or The Farm on Putah Creek at the Center for Land Based Learning in Winters. Students had the opportunity to learn about organic methods of farming, help out with some farm work, and taste some fresh farm produce.
