Davis Joint Unified School District has embraced the Davis RISE program that was initiated by Davis Farm to School Connection in 1999. The Wednesday Night Farmer's Market Nights embrace over 2,000 people; enjoying fresh local produce, food and musical entertainment. Yolo County recycle artists will be sharing artistic talents as well as other environmental groups participating; (EX) Tree Davis, Davis Bike Club, Davis Public Works, CA Dept. of Conservation, UC Davis Project Compost, and VESPRO Co.
